Terms of Service
Bradford Hood Cleaning Pros works to a written quote, and the quote is the document that governs a job. These terms describe what a quote includes, what the certificate does and does not assert, what is needed from a site on the night, and how payment and cancellation work. Nothing here overrides a written quote you have been issued. Last updated August 2026.
Quotes, scope and what the price covers
A written quote names the scope section by section and holds for the period stated on it.
Prices published on this site are starting prices: from $385 per visit for a single-hood kitchen up to ten feet, and from $725 per visit for a multi-hood kitchen of two to four canopies. They are a starting point rather than a promise about a specific kitchen, because canopy count, duct length and shape, existing access and roof access all move the number. The figure that applies to you is the one on your written quote.
A quote names the sections included: canopy, baffle filters, plenum, horizontal duct run, elbows and transitions, vertical riser, and the rooftop fan with its curb. Where access panels are needed to reach a section, they are itemised. Where a section genuinely cannot be reached, that is stated in the quote rather than left ambiguous.
Work found during a visit that falls outside the quoted scope is reported rather than carried out and invoiced. Nothing gets added to a job without being agreed first. If a system turns out to need a second visit to fully bring back, which happens on long-neglected seasonal systems, that is said plainly rather than discovered on the invoice.
The walk-through is free and carries no obligation. There is no deposit required to receive a quote.
What the certificate asserts, and what it does not
The certificate states that named sections were cleaned on a named date, referencing the published NFPA 96 standard. It is not a guarantee of a future inspection result.
Each certificate names the location, the date and every section cleaned, and it states that the work references the published NFPA 96 standard. It is issued per premises rather than per company, because that is how an inspection is conducted.
What it does not do is guarantee an outcome that depends on other people. It does not promise that a fire inspector or an insurer will reach any particular conclusion, because that is their assessment to make. It does not certify the design or condition of the exhaust system itself, which may have faults that cleaning does not address, such as a hood that is the wrong type for the equipment beneath it. Where such a fault is found, it is reported.
Bradford Hood Cleaning Pros is not certified by, affiliated with, or endorsed by the National Fire Protection Association. NFPA publishes standards and does not certify cleaning contractors. Any contractor claiming otherwise is describing something that does not exist, and that includes previous versions of this website.
Before-and-after photographs accompany every certificate. They are a record of the sections cleaned, and they are supplied to the customer as part of the service.
Site access, safety and what is needed on the night
The work needs a cold, clear cook line, access to the roof, and whatever keys, escort or security arrangements the building requires.
Access is agreed at the walk-through, not negotiated on the night. That covers the working window, who unlocks what, escort requirements in occupied buildings, and roof access including whether the fan is hinged. Where those arrangements are not in place on arrival and the visit cannot proceed, a callout may be charged, and it will have been stated in the quote that this applies.
The cook line must be cold and clear. Surfaces have to be cool for degreaser to work safely and for the crew to work at all, and equipment has to be clear so it can be moved where the scope includes that.
Proof of WSIB coverage and liability insurance is supplied before work starts. Gas connections are not disturbed, because that is licensed work outside this scope. Where equipment cannot be moved safely without disconnection, it is left in place and the limitation is reported.
Grease removed is collected and taken away rather than washed into a floor drain or across a roof.
Terms of service: frequently asked questions
Payment, cancellation and the practical questions.
When is payment due?
On the terms stated in your written quote, which are agreed before the work rather than after. Larger institutional and multi-site arrangements often run on invoice terms suited to the customer's own accounts process, and that is settled at quoting stage. There is no deposit required to receive a quote.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Give as much notice as you can and it is straightforward. Overnight crews and route nights are planned in advance, so a cancellation on the day may carry a charge where the quote said it would. In practice, rescheduling a week ahead is normal and costs nothing, and it is far better than a crew arriving to a kitchen that is not ready.
What happens if something is damaged?
It is reported the same night with a photograph rather than left for you to find. Liability insurance is in place. The practical protection for both sides is the before-and-after photo record, which establishes the condition of every surface at the start of the visit, including components already damaged such as a cracked light lens or a warped filter.
Do you guarantee we will pass a fire inspection?
No, and no contractor honestly can, because the inspection is somebody else's assessment of the whole premises. What the service provides is a properly cleaned system and the dated evidence that it was cleaned, which is what an inspector and an insurer actually want to see. A contractor promising a pass is promising something outside their control.
Which law governs these terms?
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply. Terms may be updated, and the version published here on the date your quote is issued is the version that applies to that work. How your information is handled is covered separately in the privacy policy, and any question can go to the contact page or 365-809-0864.
